Disarmament

We are living on a  heap of nuclear weapons. This is the nuclear age and the nuclear Weapons have created serious dangers. The atom bombs, which were dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, are nothing compared to the nuclear weapons we have managed to make today. The third world war, which is not impossibility, will result in the extinction of the entire human race. The scientist and statesmen are fully aware of these dangers and have warned the world of the dreadful consequences of these weapons.

The great powers are engaged in arming themselves in spite of common knowledge that another war will mean total destruction of the human race. It has been calculated that the world spends 100,000 millions dollars every year on arms. Around fifty million workers throughout the world are busy day and night in the armament industry. A mere accident may be misunderstood as a nuclear attack and a retaliation may be launched even before the fault is discovered. Disarmament can alone eliminate the risk of another world war and can ensure everlasting peace. Disarmament will not only end the fear of war and create and atmosphere of harmony, but will also help considerably in the prosperity of all the nations. All the creative abilities of mankind will then be utilised for humanitarian purposes. All the nation will spend their finance exclusively for beneficial aims. Disarmament Will certainly bring about new development of the creative force of the world and will prove useful to every single individual as well as the whole society. The pope once had remarked,”The atomic energy is a blessing of GOD. It is to be dedicated to the service of His children.”

The nuclear test ban is the first vital step in the successful implementation of the Disarmament Plan. It is unimaginable as to how much poison is being diffused during the nuclear tests, besides creating ‘psychology of fear’ in the hearts of mankind. After the abolition of nuclear test, the next step should be the destruction of all nuclear weapons, countries have in their possession. Einstein said,”Radioactive poisoning of the atmosphere and hence annihilation of life on Earth, has been brought within the range of technical possibilities. Nothing short of a complete disarmament and return of sanity of peace to the minds of the world statesmen and diplomats can save the world from an unprecedented catastrophe that is looming large on the horizon.” So, complete Disarmament is the only and one best solution, if we want to enjoy a world, which is peaceful and devoid of any fear.
